Steeped in the rich history of French cuisine and born of a desire to share that tradition with friends and family, Bistro Agnes is a Parisian eatery in Downtown Portland's West End by James Beard Award-winning chefs Greg and Gabi Denton.
The restaurant is named after Greg’s grandmother, who deeply influenced his ideas of hospitality. Our brand for Bistro Agnes takes inspiration from historic French lettering found on street signs and turn-of-the-century printing to evoke a sense of nostalgia and delight.
The result is a brand world reminiscent of a Parisian storefront, featuring layers of multiple typefaces. As writer Alyssa Schwartz said, "Bistro Agnes is so classically Parisian it almost comes full circle back to edgy.”
